Many times, ophthalmologists prescribe vitamins to patients instead of eye-drops or oral medication because some symptoms can be easily fixed by eating healthy food which nourish the eyes and prevent damage to the eyes. Therefore choosing to eat vegetables or fruits can give benefits to the eyes as follows;

1. The red color can help to nourish the eyes and slow down of macular degeneration. It has Zeaxanthin which acts to protect radiation from the sun that is harmful to the eyes and protects the cells of the retina from damage
Found in: gogiberry, strawberry and tomato etc.

2. The yellow color can reduce the risk of cataracts because it contains Zeaxanthin and antioxidants which act to absorbs excess light and prevents light from damaging the lens.
Found in: yellow bell pepper which rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus and high potassium.

3. The green color can helps to prevent cataracts because there are a lot of lutein. 
Found in: many green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, morning glory etc.
 
4. The Purple color is inhibits aging problems for the elderly because it contains anthocyanin and antioxidants which help to prevent the accumulation of pigments that cause eye blurring during the elderly.
Found in: eggplant skins, butterfly pea flowers and berry fruits.

5. The Orange color help to prevents the occurrence of night blindness because it contains beta carotene, vitamin A and lutein
Found in:  all kinds of orange vegetables such as carrots, peppers, bell peppers, oranges, etc.
